Welcome to
Isle of Wight Rare Breeds
Caring for animals, preserving rare breeds, and spreading smiles every day!
Who are we
Isle of Wight Rare Breeds is a CIC dedicated to care, education, community and preserving rare and unusual animals. We offer a unique, hands-on experience where visitors can connect with our friendly animals, learn about conservation, and enjoy meaningful, family-friendly encounters that support education, wellbeing, and local community initiatives.
The majority of our work takes place within the community. When possible, we also open to the public on selected dates throughout the year. Please see our timetable for upcoming events and booking information
Our Community
We support our local community through programs such as Special Needs Education, Alternative Provision, Young Carer Wellbeing Club, and Perinatal Group sessions.
During school holidays, we participate in the HAF program supported by the Isle of Wight Council.
